Minami Sangyo is a machinery manufacturer that manufactures, sells and maintains machines for soybean processed foods such as tofu and fried tofu, as well as various food and inspection machines. In the course of manufacturing machinery, we have honed our unique technology, and have created machinery and equipment for ultra-fine grinding and machinery and equipment that injects nitrogen from the air into liquid as UFB (ultra-fine bubbles) (each of which is patented).

Our management philosophy is to “contribute to the health and peace of people around the world through food.” Until now, we have been passionate about contributing to the efficient and accurate production of food as a machine manufacturer, and to other various requests from our customers from the perspective of machine manufacturing. However, from now on, in order to solve the various crises and issues related to food that we are increasingly seeing in the news and as real-life problems, we have decided to produce our own food as a food tech company and provide it both domestically and overseas.

Confronting issues such as the protein crisis and the environmental burden of food production

  • It is said that the supply of protein is insufficient compared to the population growth. Although we have tried to make up for the current gap by using animals and fish, the environmental burden is only increasing.
  • Animals and fish are delicious and valuable sources of protein. We believe that in order for humans to continue to survive on Earth and to maintain a cycle of consuming delicious livestock and fish, it is important to incorporate plant-based protein into our lives.

Utilization of “Nanahomare” which contains a lot of β-conglycinin

We are working in collaboration with the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization and universities in an industry-academia-government collaboration to confirm the existence and efficacy of the soybean “Nanahomare,” which is rich in “beta-conglycinin,” which significantly suppresses triglycerides that cause lifestyle-related diseases and stabilizes them at appropriate levels, and have published academic results.

Currently, the functional soybean “Nanahomare” is only grown in Mie Prefecture. We work with soybean farmers to request planting and purchase the soybeans, striving to ensure stable agricultural income. Cooperation with the Femtech sector

  • Osteoporosis is more prevalent in women*. The main cause of this is said to be the decrease in the secretion of female hormones due to aging.
    We had female college students consume “WHOLE FOODS TOFU,” a tofu made from whole soybeans, and the research results showed that it significantly increased bone density. We
    will continue to educate women by proposing eating habits that will increase bone density while they are young, in addition to just eating, along with moderate exercise and sunbathing.
